We are pleased to announce that the name of “MATSURI Project” has officially been changed to “MATSURI Initiative.”

Since its launch in 2021, MATSURI has focused on building an industry based on microalgae. As of April this year, the scope of our activities has expanded to encompass the broader goal of advancing the bioeconomy.

The renewed MATSURI Initiative now includes not only large-scale microalgae cultivation and product development, but also efforts in agriculture, resource circulation, AI driven bio-manufacturing, and cell culture technologies. Through these efforts, we aim to establish a foundation for a truly sustainable industrial ecosystem.

To reflect this more comprehensive and long-term vision, we have adopted the term “Initiative” rather than “Project.” Looking ahead, MATSURI Initiative will continue to grow with an eye toward global expansion, contributing to the realization of a worldwide bioeconomy.
