CHITOSE BIO EVOLUTION PTE. LTD., the leader of the global bioeconomy and the headquarters of CHITOSE Group (hereinafter, CHITOSE), has received an investment of JPY 1 billion from Mizuho Bank.

In February 2023, Mizuho Bank established a new “Value Co-Creation Investment Facility” to support customers’ response to social issues, the creation of new demand, and the realization of new business models. This investment is part of Mizuho Bank’s strengthening of its “value co-creation initiatives” and is a joint investment with Shiseido Co., Ltd., which invested in CHITOSE in July 2023 with the aim to support the company’s business activities.

CHITOSE Group will further strengthen the world-leading technological capabilities, which were continuously cultivated since its founding, and work toward building a bioeconomy through large-scale microalgae production, utilization of new microalgae-derived resources, and social adoption of such resources.
