An interview with Rie Kugimiya, COO of Chitose Laboratory Corp. has been uploaded on “GREEN INNOVATION STORY ‘Bio Manufacturing'” on the official YouTube channel operated by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (hereinafter NEDO). 

Professor Abe of Tohoku University and Kadokura, Executive Vice President  of Kaneka Corporation, in addition to Kugimiya, appear in this video. The companies, selected by NEDO’s Green Innovation Fund, mentioned their thoughts and ideas for “Bio Manufacturing”. COO Kugimiya talked about “Circulation by photosynthesis-based organic matter generation” and “Future that microalgae will be replacing familiar things”. Through bio manufacturing, we aim for a future that biotechnology is everywhere around us, just as the internet and digital technology have become indispensable in our lives in the past.
