MATSURI Site Visit to Microalgae Production Facility in Kuching, Malaysia

2024.06.14

On May 28th and 29th, the CHITOSE Group held an inspection tour of the CHITOSE Carbon Capture Central, the world’s largest microalgae production facility, in Kuching, Malaysia. This tour was attended by 70 representatives from 35 MATSURI member companies, and included a visit to the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre and C4, a lecture session, and a partner networking event.

During this two-day event, participants gained a clearer understanding of the challenges and opportunities in building the microalgae industry, and keenly felt the passion of each and every CHITOSE member involved in this initiative. Until the day comes when microalgae-derived products can enrich people’s lives and uphold true carbon neutrality, the support and cooperation of all MATSURI member companies and organizations will be essential in realizing this vision.

Once again, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our partners.
At MATSURI, we encourage companies of all sizes and industries to join us in building the algae industry. (For more information, please contact us here.)
