“DEWAN MASYARAKAT” is a specialized magazine dealing with social, economic, educational and political fields in Malaysia. The feature article “INOVASI DAN TEKNOLOGI “(translation: Innovation and Technology) in December 2023 describes the utilization of biomass-based renewable energy in Sarawak, Malaysia. In the article, they introduced C4 ( CHITOSE Carbon Capture Central), the world’s largest microalgae production facility.

Sarawak has moved towards supporting and leveraging renewable energy as part of its efforts to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change and achieve sustainable energy sources. They especially hope a lot for the potential of microalgae produced in C4. 

CHITOSE Group will establish a long-term large-scale cultivation technology for sustainable aviation fuel and other microalgae products in C4, while at the same time continuing to develop a wide range of applications for microalgae.
