We are proud to announce that MATSURI led by CHITOSE GROUP has been nominated for the Earthshot Prize by PDIE Group.

The Earthshot Prize was launched by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and The Royal Foundation in 2020. It is the high-profile prestigious environment prize in history. The Earthshot Prize promotes the solutions that help to repair our planet over the next ten years. The Prize has five categories in which finalists will be chosen:

●　Fix Our Climate

MATSURI is the world’s first joint project which aims to develop a society based on algae. We pursue the possibilities of biotechnology and microalgae to build a new microalgae industrial ecosystem.

Purpose Driven Innovation Ecosystem (PDIE Group) is building a global ecosystem for game changers who are co-creating a better tomorrow. They are one of the top Earthshot Prize nominators. In 2021, three of their nominated solutions were shortlisted in the final 15 at the awards ceremony. One of these solutions was selected as a winner in Fix Our Climate.
